In a recent industry analysis, Big 4 CPA firm, Deloitte & Touch, selected Beanstalk as one of the top outsourcing firms in the country in accounting & finance. We’re proud to be one of only 20 companies selected nationwide by D&T.
The January 2003 issue of The Blue Paper analyzed Business Process Outsourcing. The Blue Paper is a regular publication of Deloitte & Touche. Each edition provides an in-depth analysis of a topical market sector, including emerging and fast-growing private companies.
D&T says about BPO that it’s a business model that offers real value. Inherent in the BPO movement is the desire for corporations to focus on core competencies and strategies. Executives are realizing the long-term strategic potential of BPO. Corporations can focus on scaling their core competencies, while third-party providers supply incremental non-core business function requirements. The result is a more nimble and competitive organization.
Other observations of D&T: · Unlike simple outsourcing, BPO focuses on non-core business processes that are much more complex and intertwined into the organization such as Finance & Accounting and HR. · The top-down model used by Beanstalk, engineering and administering the entire business process, is superior to the bottom model of outsourcing narrow, less strategic functions like bill payment · BPO firms best positioned for success are those that: · Are built around deep process knowledge and experience · Are focused on providing full-service functionality · Utilize technology to streamline business processes and reduce human capital requirements · Utilize inexpensive labor for human-intensive parts of the process.
